Since we last talked

So for a long, long time now the site has been kind of on the back burner. Today I am here to apologize and let you know that it may be a little while longer before we get back up to speed.

For the past “months” the family and I have been moving from house to house waiting for the purchase of our new home to be finalized. This has put me in a position where I don’t have the time or the space to work on the site, or finish some of the repairs that are still in the process. I hope that when our house deal goes through that I life will finally calm down and I can get back to working on new content for the site.

Other than that not much is going on, I am trying to continue to produce “out of work spartan” episodes but my two month time constraint is getting harder and harder to keep up with. ( damn economy making me work two jobs. )

Anyways I hope to be back at full power some time in the near future so if you like the site stay tuned, Thanks for your understanding.

The plans were made, the crew was ready, and then I realized that I work on weekends, which includes the 29th and 30th. Darn you Gamestop darn you all to H%$^. So it looks like the crew and I wont be attending the sacanime convention this year. But we are hoping to show up at one in the very near future. Dont cry it will all be ok. In exchange, if you email me I will send you a sweet tahoeanime sticker. Guaranteed to make all your friends jealous.

The crew and I recently began work on our second halo inspired machinima “out of work Spartan” ep.1 We are hoping to get it all wrapped up soon and uploaded to youtube for your viewing pleasure. So stay tuned.

Recently myself, my brother, and a good friend of mine decided to embark on a journey into the world of machinima. What is machinima you ask well.....um...... im not really sure but our friend DigitalPh33r’s does. Watch his video to get a nice definition of what machinima is.

Tahoeanime’s 1st year and what’s next

Even though the first year for TahoeAnime was slow, I really enjoyed creating tutorials and writing reviews for the site. We have been through a couple changes in 2008 and we have seen the addition of the all new game section. As far as what to expect for 2009, I plan to continue to create new content and am looking forward to starting a few contests. Speaking of contests....

Up and Running

First of all I want to thank everyone for their patience while the site was under reconstruction. Now you might think that not much has changed but just to turn a background from orange to blue on every page takes a little time. Hopefully I have worked out all the bugs that I could find so things should run pretty smoothly now. Please let me know if you run into any problems.

Reconstruction? what does that mean?

Well to start things off for the past month and a couple weeks the headquarters of tahoeanime.com has been moving to a new location. ( the fam and I moved to a new house. ) So with being so busy moving I haven’t had much time to sit down and work on any new content or updates. Now that the move is over and things have gotten back to normal I plan on working on some new stuff for the site as soon as possible.

When the site was first created I was so focused on the design and how the site looked and worked that I didn’t really decide what the content was going to be until late in the process. Meaning that when the site was finally published to the web their were two empty spaces on the main page, that I didn’t know what to do with. I had toyed around with a few ideas but never really got around to designing anything for those two spaces until now. So here is a quick run down of the two new sections, and I hope you enjoy them.

As for the Questions/comments section that I was thinking of doing, I decided that if I was going to answer any question I would do so in this blog or by emailings the person back. (depending on the subject) Though I would love to to have a section with all your comments I don’t think it would be a good idea because people may abuse it and I don’t want to have to police it everyday. Other than that I hope you enjoy the new sections, and I am looking forward to seeing some of your art.

Looking forward to the new year

The end of 2007 saw the beginning of tahoeanime.com. The first few months of the site being up were an interesting and complex introduction into the online world. Though the site has not been up for very long, their have been several changes and more content added to the different sections. I am hoping to continue with new content as often as I can and sections that have updates will be marked so you can find them.
As for 2008 I am working on several new interactive sections for the new year, even though I’m not sure when they will be up.

One of the new sections that I am working on is “Local Art” This is a section were you can post your own art (drawings, sketch’s, fan art, digital art, photos etc.) as well as look at other peoples from the area.

The second section that I am working on is “questions and comments” were you can ask me questions (that I will try my best to answer.) and were you can inter act with other anime and manga fans in the Tahoe area.

Other than that I hope you have a wonderful new year and I hope to see you around.

Welcome to tahoeanime.com, the first local outlet for anime and manga in the tahoe area. The plan for this site is to create a local network for fans and artists to gain and share info about the anime culture. Several basic sections have been created for the opening of this site which I hope to keep up to date as much as possible (at least once or twice a week for now. Their are also several extra sections that are in the planning stages and hopefully if everything goes well I hope to get them online in the near future.

Now for a basic run down of the site.

Posts- This is my own personal blog that I hope to use to bring you info on things that I
find interesting in the anime/manga world. As well as info on new updates to the
sites and events that may be happening.

Art Tutorials- Everyone needs help getting started, this section was created to help
artists develop their skills and style, as well as allow them to see how other artists work
and develop.

Anime/manga pics blog- Every artist and especially otoku’s should have a sizable
library of images that they look to for info and inspiration. This section
is devoted to just that.

Anime/manga reviews- As an Otoku I have watched more anime than I probably
should. This section is dedicated towards letting you know which anime should be in
your collection and which ones shouldn’t.

About- This is the section dedicated to me and my art work as well as info about the site
and how to get in contact with me.

Links- These are some of my favorite sites to get up to date info, images, videos,
products and any thing else anime/ manga related.

Future plans for the site include adding a page for

• New blog page

This is the basic set up for the site. I am hoping that the site will generate enough interest that I can start putting together several interactive pages so that you the viewer can have a part in how the site grows.
